Synopsis:

Sinopsis en Español:

 Para Gen y el resto de los humanos--O hepers-- la muerte esta un latido de distancia. En el escape y la caza por la sociedad, ellos deberan hallar la forma de sobrevivir en  The Vast...y evitar los hambrientos cazadores que los persiguen en la oscuridad. Pero ellos no son la unica cosa persiguiendo a Gene. Esta siendo asechado por la chica que dejo atras y los crecientes sentimientos por Sissy, la chica humana que permanece a su lado.

Cuando descubren un refugio de humanos exiliados viviendo en lo alto de la montaña, Gene y sus amigos piensan que por fin estan a salvo. Dirigido por un grupo de sumamente secretos Ancianos, la civilizacion empieza a tener mas preguntas que respuestas. Un estricto codigo de compartamiento es la regla, castigos severos son impuestos, los jovenes estan muy lejos de ser encontrados- y Gene comienza a preguntarse si el mundo en el que entratarion es tan malo como el que dejaron atras. Como la vida en el refugio se vuelve más peligrosa, la cercania de él y Sissy sólo aumenta.
En un mundo cada vez más violento, todo lo que tienen es uno al otro ... si pueden mantenerse vivos.
